Bürokratix treats trust as part of the product. This page explains what may be processed, why it is needed, and how users stay in control.
GDPR-minded
Your cases, letter explanations, documents you attach, replies, deadlines and reminders, your profile and settings are stored only on your device. Documents are kept in the app's private storage; your profile is kept in the encrypted iOS Keychain. Packet PDFs are created on the device and the temporary copy is deleted after you share it.
When you ask Bürokratix to explain a letter or answer a question, the app first asks for your consent. Only then is the photo or text you chose sent over an encrypted connection through our server to Google's Gemini API (Google Ireland Limited, our processor), which generates the explanation. We do not store this content on our servers. Documents you only attach to a case are never sent. You can withdraw consent in the app's settings. Legal basis: your consent and the performance of the service (Art. 6(1)(a) and (b) GDPR); transfers outside the EU are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses.
Requests from the app pass through our server, which runs on Cloudflare Workers (Cloudflare, Inc.). It forwards your request to Gemini and returns the answer. To limit abuse it keeps short-lived counters keyed by your IP address or installation key — hashed where possible — that expire automatically within hours, days, or at the latest about five weeks for monthly limits. It also records, without any identifier, which AI model was used and how many tokens it processed.
The app creates a random installation key and keeps it in the iOS Keychain. It is sent with AI requests so that daily and monthly limits can be applied fairly and abuse prevented. It is not linked to your name, email or documents. Delete all my data removes it from your device; the related counters on our server expire on their own.
Purchases are processed by Apple; we never receive your payment details. We use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) to manage subscriptions: it receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase and subscription status so that the app can unlock Starter or Pro and restore purchases. Our server asks RevenueCat whether an installation has an active subscription.
In the app, Profile → Delete all my data removes your cases, documents and their files, your profile, reminders, cached PDFs and photo copies, your consent choices and the installation key from this device. This cannot be undone. Our server holds no copies of your letters or documents. Your purchase history stays with Apple and RevenueCat so that you can restore a subscription later.
On this website, strictly necessary cookies keep the site working; analytics and marketing cookies are optional and can be managed in the preference panel. If you join the waitlist, we process your email address only to send launch and access updates.
You can request access, correction or deletion of personal data, object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. Contact us through the support page. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
